“Still photographs are the most powerful weapon in the world. People believe them, but photographs do lie, even without manipulation. They are only half-truths.

That day was my first time at Cafe De Flore … today, is one of my spots in Paris when I’m looking for inspiration.
One Key, One Brave Man
June 21 2011 NYC
This key + William’s courage saved so many lives… it was a true honor to finally meet you.
Lost Keys March 13 2012 San Juan PR Years ago I stole this room keys from a cheap NYC hotel I was staying in. I found them really interesting as a prop for a photo story, I even remember to had the photographs clear and layout in my mind. Yesterday those images came back to me, while looking for a vintage soft focus filter in my old film camera bag from the 90’s, I found again my precious props. Now again I can’t stop thinking about my next photos. Why it took me 10 years to find the lost keys and my future images again? Time will tell… but from now on I will be carrying my old/new props closer to me in my digital camera bag, waiting for the right light, right model and the right door.
Ann LaPlace Camera Test
This is the first photo I took with my (now) vintage twin lens Rolliflex camera. It was 2002 when I first met and understood my affection to add drama in my photographs.
